Ingredients / Shopping List
  • 2 cups cabbage - thinly slices
  • 1 - 2 carrots - shredded
  • 1 green onion
Creamy Dressing
  • ½ cup Mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup Yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • Salt and Pepper
  • honey
Instructions
Directions/Method for Coleslaw (a.k.a.Cold Slaw) - simple, easy to make
  1. Thinly slice a cabbage and place 2 cups/500 ml in a bowl
  2. Clean 1 -2 carrots with a vegetable peeler then shred the carrot into the bowl
  3. Mix the ingredients
  4. Clean the onion and using the scissors cut the onion up into the bowl
Directions/Method for making Creamy Dressing
  1. Put ½ cup/125ml of mayonnaise into a clean bowl
  2. Place ¼ cup /60 ml of yogurt into the bowl
  3. Put 1 tablespoon/15 ml lemon juice into the bowl
  4. Put 1 teaspoon/5 ml of honey into the bowl
  5. Mix ingredients of the bowl thoroughly
Pour just enough creamy dressing over the contents of the other bowl to dampen the coleslaw and mix thoroughly - if there is some dressing left over cover and put into the refrigerator - use within three days.
Serve creamy coleslaw immediately or cover and chill in the refrigerator.
