Manfreed demonstrates three methods for how to steep tea using a tea bag, a tea caddy and a plunge filter. You kids and new cooks can make this quick, easy to make recipe. You can steep tea that your family, friends and relatives will ask for when visiting. Enjoy delicious, nutritious, healthy homemade cakes and cookies with your tea.

  • 1 tea bag
  • loose tea
  • water

Tea Bag Method for Steeping TeaDirections/Method for Teas - How to Steep Tea with a Tea Bag
  1. Boil water in a kettle
  2. Pour some boiling water into the tea pot and place the lid on the teapotThis will warm the tea pot before steeping the tea
  3. Once pot is warmed pour off the water in the tea pot
  4. Place a tea bag into the warmed teapotTea is a very personal beverage. You may have to try several flavors until you find your favorite(s).
  5. Pour in the desired amount of boiled water and place lid on the tea pot - leave to steep - begin with 4 minutesYou will have to try different lengths of time and amounts of water until you find the correct flavor that you want.
  6. Warm the tea cups with boiling water
  7. Pour out the water in the cup and pour the tea when ready

Plunge filter/French Press Method for Steeping TeaDirections/Method for Steeping Teas - How to Steep Tea with a Plunge Filter/French Press
  1. Boil water in a kettle
  2. Pour some boiling water into the Plunge Filter/French PressThis will warm the Plunge Filter/French Press before steeping the tea
  3. Once pot is warmed pour off the water in the Plunge Filter/French Press
  4. Place a teaspoon/5 ml of loose tea into the Plunge Filter/French PressTea is a very personal beverage. You may have to try several flavors until you find your favorite(s).
  5. Pour in boiled water and place lid on the Plunge Filter/French Press - leave to steepYou will have to try different lengths of time and amounts of water until you find the correct flavor that you want.
  6. When the desired time for steeping is completed, push the plunger down
  7. Warm the tea cups with boiling water
  8. Pour out the water in the cup and pour the tea when ready

Food Safety – for Teas - How to Steep Tea
Wash your hands with hand soap and water.
Make certain that all kitchen utensils and tools are clean
Be cautious with the knife. Curl your fingers back away from the knife when holding what you are cutting.
Never lick a knife.
Do not lick your fingers without washing your hands instantly after licking.
Never lick any kitchen utensil without washing it instantly before using it again.
Variations - for Teas
You can add milk, cream, lemon, cinammon for a change in flavor. Experiment. Enjoy!
Easy Clean-up – for Tea

Dish soap, Dishtowels, Kitchen Sponge/Cloth
1. Wash all the kitchen utensils/tools and put them away in the proper cupboard.
2. Put ingredients back into the proper cupboards.
3. Wipe down the counter-top with soap and water.
